@socialskeleton in the late 1940s the US Department of Agriculture designed a then-modern kitchen layout to maximize efficiency, and produced a video explaining each of its features. I am a'work so I can't find it now but it's out there. Some of its concepts were rendered obsolete by subsequent changes in food distribution but it's cool
